My door is crooked and stuck halfway. Can I force it down?
No — and this is the one thing worth reading twice. A crooked or stuck door usually means a spring, cable, or roller has let go, and the weight is now hanging on parts that were never meant to carry it. Forcing it can drop the door. Leave it where it is, keep everyone out from under it, and get it looked at.
How much will this cost?
We won't invent a number. A spring on a light single door and a spring on an insulated double aren't the same job, and labour rates differ by city. What we will promise: the provider gives you the scope and the price before any work starts, and you can say no.
Do I have to know what part is broken?
No. Most people can't tell a torsion spring from a cable drum, and you shouldn't have to. Tell us what the door is doing — the noise, where it stopped, what looks out of line — and that's enough to route it correctly.
How fast will someone get back to me?
